i m looking forward to it for a long time ago becoz of the director Sofia Coppola ( i luv Virgin suicide that movie soo much)
Compare with her past fews movies, this movie is much more fruitful, girly like and positive.
props, costumes(v.nice rococo style), furnitures (with v.rich colorful embroidery), foods(those macaroons and cakes) are very very nice.

she seems lived in a dazzling world (although she didnt have privacy and gossip all around) Masquerade, Gambling, parties all day long..............
that s based on History but sofia filmed it in a very modern way ( esp. one of the background music is 80s music - I want candy )
but the ending is...hmm... it finish sharply... we both said " ng hai ar...?!" 
i had read some reviews about it, just knew sofia really filmed in Palace of Versailes. inside the real room of Marie Antoinette.
And there s Food Dept. they mainly made the REAL 18th century french desserts and cakes for the film shooting ...yummy....
And i had read the history of this queen in wikipedia, she get married at 14. And in final, Marie and her husband Louis had been executed in final during French revolution.....
should buy the vcd as color combo reference... tats really nice.
